Vesalius LXplus is monopolar and bipolar electrosurgical device of VESALIUS product line. This user friendly unit was developed for outpatient surgeries. All of the functions can be activated either by pedal or by handpiece. In addition, Vesalius LXplus is equipped with a fulguration function and with a timer for impulsive energy. Thanks to the right combination of the QMR high frequencies, LXplus allows cutting and coagulation thanks to a molecular resonance effect by preserving the biological tissue.
Thanks to the QMR Technology the cutting function is caused by a breakdown of molecular bonds at low temperature. Thereby the thermal damage is limited and allows the Surgeon to provide extremely delicate surgical procedures.
The bipolar coagulation of Vesalius generators is recognized for precision and effectiveness. Differently from the standard electrosurgical high frequency devices (which cause the vessels collapse and tissue necrosis), Vesalius deploys a peculiar waveform (slightly out of resonance) that increases the temperature up to 63-65°C. This triggers the denaturation processes of fibrinogen which turns into fibrin and coagulates the blood, without thermal damage of vessels.
