Vesalius MCNplus is one of the most advanced electrosurgical devices among the Vesalius product line. It was designed for the modern operating rooms, where state-of-the-art technologies are used. Vesalius MCNplus is a mono and bipolar electro-surgical unit that finds its best application in surgical procedures as Neurosurgery, Skull base and Spine Surgery. Thanks to the advanced QMR Technology, Vesalius MCNplus allows perfect cuts and precise and delicate coagulation. Besides, the system can provide several simultaneous operating functions such as Cut, Blend and Coagulation. All of the devices’ functions can be activated simultaneously both from the handpiece and from the pedal.
Thanks to the QMR Technology the cutting function is caused by a breakdown of molecular bonds at low temperature. Thereby the thermal damage is limited and allows the Surgeon to provide extremely delicate surgical procedures.
The bipolar coagulation of Vesalius generators is recognized for precision and effectiveness. Differently from the standard electrosurgical high frequency devices (which cause the vessels collapse and tissue necrosis), Vesalius deploys a peculiar waveform (slightly out of resonance) that increases the temperature up to 63-65°C. This triggers the denaturation processes of fibrinogen which turns into fibrin and coagulates the blood, without thermal damage of vessels.
